Not-so-magic mushrooms

Andrew made a mushroom sauce on Wednesday night and ever since then I have been hearing about this sauce 24/7 cause he is sooo proud of it (for those of you who don't know, I hate mushrooms so I am not really loving on his precious sauce.)

Last night we had some friends around for a BBQ and he was talking about his mushroom sauce and trying to convince them to have some. Elysium was sitting there listening to the conversation and she let out a big, dramatic sigh and said "excuse me but Daddy has been talking about his sauce all week, can you please eat it so he'll stop?" Hahaha. Then Andrew asks if she wants to have some with her dinner and she says "ok, if I must...!"Oh darling how you remind your mother of herself.

So it comes time to eat and Elysium smells it, puts her finger in and tastes a bit, dips her sausage in some... all seems ok. Then she eats a mushroom and all we get is "ewwww.." she keeps saying "eww" and "disGUSTing." She tells Andrew that his mushroom tastes like a snail (which she has never eaten) so she says "ok then.... it tastes like dirt.... muddy, disGUSting dirt." Poor Andrew.. haha. Kids are hard ones to please! Although his friends seemed to like it and he had to spend the rest of the night outside cause his big head wouldn't fit in the door.

I don't think he should quit his day job just yet, though.

LOL That's hillarious! Maybe it's a guy thing, everytime my husband makes something he thinks is really good he practically force feeds it to the whole family even if we hate it.

There comes a point in your life when you realise who matters, who never did, who won't anymore and who always will. So don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future ♥

The word God is, for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weakness, the Bible a collection of honorable, but still purely primitive, legends which are nevertheless pretty childish. No interpretation no matter how subtle can (for me) change this. -- Einstein
