My grandfather isn't well. We had a call from my uncle on Christmas day saying that he wasn't looking too good. The Drs. say it's progression of the disease (dementia) and that he won't see his next birthday (April 16).. Then today we get another call saying that he just lays in bed and doesn't eat. PLEASE keep him in your thoughts. It is absolutely horrible what this disease has done to him and it breaks my heart to think about how he went from being someone who would walk anywhere and everywhere (2+ hours!) to being stuck in bed like this. The pictures we saw of him in November were so so sad. They had sat him in a chair with an apron on and he was painting, like a child. So skinny, he just didn't look a thing like my grandfather.
I don't want him to suffer anymore. It's just so hard to think about saying goodbye.
